Chief Program and Operations Officer

Amber Gaia Silverman, MSSW, LICSW, LCSW

Amber Gaia Silverman serves as the Chief Program & Operations Officer at The Center for Great Expectations (CGE). She brings more than two decades of leadership experience in behavioral health and healthcare operations. Describing herself as “a clinician first,” Amber has deep expertise in recovery from complex trauma and abuse, and has dedicated her career to transforming clinical programs to improve access, quality, and outcomes across diverse populations—including individuals and families affected by substance use and co-occurring disorders. Prior to joining CGE, Amber held leadership roles at Point32Health, Beacon Health Strategies, and ValueOptions, and also worked in direct care in NJ hospitals and outpatient settings. Her expertise spans holistic behavioral and physical health integration, program implementation, care management, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement. At CGE, Amber oversees the organization’s full continuum of programs and services, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with CGE’s mission to break the cycle of trauma, abuse, and homelessness. She works collaboratively with CGE’s clinical and academic partners to advance evidence-based, trauma-informed, and relationally focused care models.

Amber holds a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Rutgers University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and brings a commitment to compassion-driven leadership, innovation, and community partnership.
