A Defining Moment of Connection and Hope

At The Center for Great Expectations, our work is rooted in connection, compassion, and the unwavering belief in the power of healing—especially the kind that happens when mothers and children are supported together.

For Paige, a Residential Associate in our Adult Residential Program, one moment has stayed with her in a deeply profound way:

“A memorable and impactful moment I had at CGE was when I was able to first see a client with her baby in the NICU. Seeing their beautiful connection blossom day by day and visit after visit was a true blessing. It painted a picture of how motherhood is what shapes the safety net and support for their successful and healthy recovery.”

The journey of recovery isn’t easy. It takes time, trust, and a team of caring individuals walking alongside each person. But what Paige witnessed during those visits—what she helped nurture—was more than just progress. It was the unfolding of a bond between mother and child that not only supported the client’s healing, but inspired hope in all who witnessed it.

Moments like these show us what’s possible when trauma-informed care meets unconditional support. When women are given the space to heal, to parent, and to grow—all at once—they begin to build a future that once felt out of reach.

Paige, thank you for your heart, your service, and your commitment to walking with our clients through some of the most vulnerable, transformative times in their lives.

We are so grateful for every member of our team who helps us fulfill our mission each day: to provide a safe place, a safe presence, and a path forward.

You can be part of this mission, too. Whether it’s through volunteering your time, making a donation, or simply sharing our story, your support helps us walk alongside more women, more children, and more families on their journey to healing.
